A FREE art competition about caring for water.

We are so proud of all the entrants to A Splash of Creativity; the submitted artwork and statements were heartfelt and powerful and each and every participant did an amazing job. Thank you all for doing your part to care for California’s water!

Winners
Brush Pen artwork in vibrant greens on the left fading to yellow on the right. The Lonely Ocean (2024)

A digital painting of an eye within a cracked brownish, tan background. The inner eye is pink as is its upper lid. An alien with a yellow face and wide eyes, along with red eyestalks and an exposed brain, drinks a glass of water from a curly straw. Water fills up their body, organs floating inside, while one three-fingered hand holds a watering can, pouring water over a burning earth. Where the water his the Earth is blue and green an bright. Elsewhere it is grey and dull. Ghosts hover above the earth in gray smoke. The background shows water ripples in dark blue over light blue.

We Survive with Water (2022)
